What’s that you say, you simply cannot survive one more moment without some Kelli Dunham Comedy News? Well then, you are absolutely in luck.

First of all, if you need a good laugh, check out the photos on Time Out New York from last Monday’s NERD LOVE event that My Beautiful Girlfriend and I co-produced. The nerd were out in force, seriously! Stay tuned for more NERD OFF themed events, possibly coming this summer.

Second, it’s the ONE YEAR anniversary of Queer Memoir. How did that happen? You are not going to want to miss our NYC one year anniversary show happening this Saturday. The theme is Hello/Goobye and we have some amazing storytellers lined up: Suzanne Kogan, Kay Ulanday Barrett, Jonathan Hollingsworth, .Emy Moya, Akiva Penaloza and Tara Shuai. Some of our storytellers are veterans from our very first show and some have never shared their story in public. You can RSVP on facebook here. We’re continually amazed by the community support for Queer Memoir. In one year we’ve been able to curate 11 events in three states with 60 unique storytellers to an estimated audience of just over 1000. We’ve collaborated with five different organizations, hosted one guest curator and used six different venues.We’re not sure exactly why the response has been so great, but we’ve mused a bit about it on our one year post on the Queer Memoir blog. Then on Monday, if you’re wandering around the west village area wondering “where can I go to see a kinder gentler, funnier queer comedy show, possibly with some hilarious interviews of local community members. And also learn how to make a snooki poof?” you will definitely want to come to JUXTAPOSITION: the IMAGE show. Jessica Halem and I will be interviewing award winning photographer Syd London and beauty maven/stylist Bryn Kelly (who will also be showing us how to make a snooki poof).. And there will be trivia, and more comedy and amazing prizes. Finally, for you Phillyfolks, guess what else? On March 5th we’ll be having our own Queer Memoir. The theme is Queer Memoir: Growing Up and it’s a collaboration with the Free Library of Philadelphia. In addition to having some youth from the Attic share their stories, we’ll also have be hearing from Chris Bartlett, Leyla Antonia Eraslan, Staci Priano, R. Eric Thomas and TS Hawkins. And, of course, I’ll be sharing a new story as well. Teaser: It involves fences, potroast a doghouse and snow. For more info and to RSVP, check out the facebook event.
